Algebra I - 2nd Block

Today we reviewed simplifying radicals and covered multiplying radicals. We then discussed rational and irrational numbers.

Your homework is to complete the investigation activity to determine what type(s) of number(s) result when we add and multiply 2 rational numbers, 2 irrational numbers or 1 rational number and 1 irrational number.

Hello Mrs.Redmond
I am still having trouble identifying the irrational numbers and rational numbers, I could really use your help. And as for the quiz , is it tomorrow or the next day? Thank you

Rational numbers are numbers that can be written in fraction form. This includes integers, decimals that terminate (end) and decimals that repeat.
Irrational numbers are numbers that are decimals which never repeat or end. Common examples of irrational numbers are the symbol for pi, and radicals that still have a radicand after they have been simplified. We will review more during the first half of class tomorrow.

The quiz is tomorrow. We will review during the first half of class so I can review rational and irrational numbers with you when you get to class. Look at the new Algebra I information that I just posted. I describe rational and irrational numbers and that should help.
