Your next unit test is Friday, March 4th. Attached is the study guide I am handing out in class today. On Monday I will be handing out grade repair contracts to students who failed any unit tests. Grade repair dates/times are Monday, March 7th - Friday, March 11th. This is a GREAT opportunity to improve your grade and I highly recommend that you take advantage of this opportunity.
Study for your quiz tomorrow. Review characteristics of functions (pages 74 & 75 in your INB). Given a graph, you will have to identify the domain, range, max, min, x-intercept, y-intercept, values of x where the function is positive, values of x where the function is negative, interval of increase, interval of decrease, constant interval, end behavior. Given word problems, you will have to define your variables, write equations and solve a systems of equation using substitution or elimination.
Study for your two quizzes tomorrow. You have your regular Friday Homework quiz from your Daily 5 homework problems. You also have a quiz on factoring and solving quadratics using square root method and grouping.
Study for tomorrow's quiz. Know how to identify if a graph, set of points, table or mapping diagram is a function. The domain and range study guide I handed out at the end of class is attached along with the answers.
Study for your quiz on Friday, 2/12/16. Review functions vs. relations, function notation, identifying the output value given an input value (given a graph, a list of coordinate points, a table or a mapping diagram). Calculate average rate of change (slope), domain and range. Below are the answers to yesterday's homework and classwork.
Sorry for the late post - the website was not letting me update it yesterday. Unit 2A test today: algebraic properties, solving equations and inequalities, graphing equations and inequalities & solving systems of equations. The answers to the study guide are below as well as the answers to the "Solving systems using elimination" homework.
Sorry for the late post - the website was not taking new posts yesterday. Study for Homework quiz today. Review - solving quadratics using square root method. Today we will learn how to solve quadratics by factoring (and finding the greatest common factor).
