Attached is the answer key to the Unit 2 Study guide. The Unit 2 Test will be Friday, 2/17. We are reviewing in class on Wednesday and Thursday. Don't forget that there is Algebra I tutoring on Thursday from 3:30 - 4:30 if you still need extra help.
We reviewed solving equations by elimination. Students took notes on 1 variable and 2 variable inequalities. They practiced solving and graphing a 1 variable inequality. Then they practiced graphing a 2 variable inequality. Remember to switch the direction of the inequality sign when dividing or multiplying by a negative number. For 1 variable inequalities, it is best to write it with the variable on the LEFT side to make sure that you graph it correctly. When graphing a 2-variable inequality, remember to use a dashed line for < or >, otherwise use a solid line. Test a point (that is not on your line). If it makes a TRUE statement, shade on the side of your point. If it makes a FALSE statement, shade on the opposite side of the line.
Students who scored below a 75 on the Unit 1 Test are STRONGLY ENCOURAGED to complete the Test Repair assignment on USA Test prep which was distributed on 1/6. Unit 1 Test Repair is due this Friday, 2/17. No late assignments will be accepted. Attached is the grade repair document.
Unit 2 Test will be Thursday, 2/16. Students received the Unit 2 Study Guide in class today and have problems #1 - 9 to complete for homework in addition to a few problems in the inequalities packet they received in class today.
Quiz tomorrow! Today we reviewed the previous night's homework on elimination. We worked out each problem and the notes are attached to the bottom of this post. We practiced elimination problems that require you to multiply both equations in order to eliminate a variable. Homework is to review and practice graphing linear equations in slope-intercept form and standard form, practice solving a systems of equation using graphing and elimination. Those are the items that will be on your quiz. Below are the answers and work for yesterday's homework.

Monday 2/6 - Properties of quadrilaterals. Measure the sides, angles, diagonals in quadrilaterals (parallelogram, rhombus, rectangle, square, kite, and trapezoid) to create notes on properties of each type of quadrilateral.
