Geometry - 1st & 3rd blocks

Today in class, we started with a warm up on rotations.  You have 2 different methods to use to complete rotations:
1)  turn your paper:  Turn your paper the correct degrees in the correct direction.  Then write down the points of the image.  Turn your paper back to its original position and then graph the coordinate points of the image.
2)  rule:  180 degree rotation:  change the signs of the x and y values
                  (x, y) -> (-x, -y)
                90/270 degree rotation:  switch the values of x and y and then check the signs in the quadrant the points move to

We took notes on dilations today.  If you were absent, most of the notes from the power point are on pages 48 - 53 in your packet.  
Homework:  page 44: ALL (Just the table of coordinate points.  The graphs are optional.)  page 56, #4 and #5.  3rd block:  also page 57, #6 and #7.
